Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?

You might have a clear idea of what you want from therapy, or you might not be sure. We will start with a free initial phone consultation to discuss your experience, what course of therapy can be helpful, and if working together feels like a good fit.

What issues do you treat?

My areas of specialty are:

 Life transitions                      Self Esteem

 Anxiety and Phobias             Relationship Issues

Trauma and PTSD                 Breakups, Divorce, Loneliness

Career Demands, Job Loss     Family Conflict

Depression                           Loved Ones with Mental Illness

 Women's Issues                    Spiritual/Religious Issues

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. Sessions are currently held via a secure video telehealth platform. I work with clients located throughout the state of New York.

How long does therapy last?

Therapy doesn't need to last forever. My aim is to help you get to a point where you graduate therapy! Some people feel better after 8-10 weeks and others benefit from a longer treatment. Together, you and I will figure out what is best for you.

Do you accept insurance?

No, I am currently an out-of-network provider which means you'll be responsible for session payments. Payments can be made by credit card, check, or Venmo.

I provide invoices that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. I am happy to advise you if you have questions about this.

Do you prescribe medication?

No, however if you and I feel that medication will be helpful to your treatment, I will help refer you to a psychiatrist or nurse practitioner to provide that portion of your care.
